One of the biggest crimes in skincare is applying products without checking the ingredients: these are key to knowing if a product is suitable for your skin. To find out what skin type you have, we already have a blog post where we explain everything you need to know about skin types and how to discover yours.
Now, here are the active ingredients that will help you get rid of acne once and for all:
- Aloe vera: In addition to its ability to soothe irritated skin, it has antibacterial properties that can help combat acne. Look for products with this ingredient to soothe inflammation and reduce the appearance of pimples.
- Raw honey: Honey has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help not only to remove excess oil from the skin but also to unclog blocked pores; moreover, it treats constant acne breakouts and pimples on the skin.
- You can make this mixture: with 3 tablespoons of honey and one of jojoba oil, stir until they blend perfectly and apply on clean skin. Leave it on for a period of 10 minutes, and then rinse.
- Jojoba oil: Jojoba oil is excellent for treating acne due to its unique properties. It balances sebum production, fights acne-causing bacteria, reduces inflammation, moisturizes the skin, and does not clog pores, making it ideal for acne-prone skin care.
- Lemon essential oil: It has astringent, antiseptic, and purifying properties that help disinfect the skin, promote the removal of excess oil, and improve the appearance of acne. In addition, lemon provides deep cleansing of the skin and reduces marks, scars, and blemishes. Our cleansing foam contains lemon essential oil, making it a perfect ally for acne treatment.
- Oatmeal: It has anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated skin and reduce inflammation associated with acne. In this case, we recommend combining oatmeal with lemon for acne spot lightening.
- Cherry: The vitamin C present in cherries also promotes wound healing and can help reduce inflammation, the main characteristic of acne. They also contain small amounts of vitamin A, i.e., the same properties as common acne medications.
These natural ingredients can be used in different forms, such as facial masks, toners, and topical treatments.
